Choosing your photographer

You want to choose someone who has experience handling newborns and will do it safely, ensures the quality of their work, and provides you with beautiful, timeless images. Trusting your photographers is essential. A baby is only born once, having a photographer create and capture these memories for you is priceless. There is so much that goes into a newborn session.  Finding and preparing props for the session, time posing so baby looks relaxed, natural and comfortable are all part of a photographers job. Editing the images comes after the session. As your photographer I will spend time making sure the photo that you will have on your wall will be perfect, with skin tone color corrections. This could be from jaundice, rashes, bumps or splotchy skin tones.

When should my maternity session be scheduled?

Maternity portraits be taken between weeks 32 and 36 of your pregnancy. Outdoor sessions should take place in the morning about 1-2 hours after sunrise. Evening sessions about an 1-2 hours before sunset. Indoor sessions are scheduled between 10am and 6pm.

When should I schedule my newborn session?

Newborns should be photographed within about the first 5-14 days of life. When you book your newborn session, we will pencil in your due date. After your baby arrives, we will set a specific date and time for the session.
